Col du Taïbit

The Col du Taïbit is a mountain pass on the island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean, situated at an elevation of 2,081 meters. It marks the boundary between the Cirques of Cilaos and Mafate and serves as the only connection between these two regions. The pass is a popular destination for hikers, offering spectacular views of both Cirques. The hike to Col du Taïbit often starts in Cilaos and passes through Ilet des Salazes. The route is challenging and requires good physical condition. Upon reaching the pass, hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
